Rayon Sports WFC win Rwanda Women’s National League title
Rayon Sport WFC are the champions of the 2023/2024 Rwanda Women’s National League.
The Rayon Sports WFC who are playing I the top League for the first time clinched the title after stopping Muhazi United WFC 1-0 on Saturday. They have collected 58 points
Jeanine Mukandayisenga netted the lone goal after 66 minutes in a match played at the Aee Avesa pitch. Rayon Sport WFC who won the lower division title last season are champions with one game they still have to play.
Former champions AS Kigali who also recorded a 2-0 win against ES Mutunda are placed second with 58 points after playing 20 matches. Twelve teams are playing in the 2023/2024 Rwanda Women’s National League.
Claude Rwaka, the Rayon Sports WFC coach said they are happy to emerge champions in the League. “This has been really hard work and I thank the management and the players for work well done,” added Rwaka
Rayon Sport WFC will now represent Rwanda at the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zone qualifiers which will take place later this year in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Last year AS Kigali WFC represented Rwanda in the Zonal qualifier which was won by JKT Queens WFC from Tanzania.

Niyonkuru scores to help Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue win 2025 Chinese Women’s FA Cup
Burundian International Sandrine Niyonkuru netted one of the goals to help Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue beat Guangdong WFC 2-0 to clinch the 2025 Chinese Football Association (FA) Cup.
The hosts Guangdong WFC were the favourites going into the game in Zhaoqing, but Cangchun Dazhong Zhuoyue WFC played their hearts out to win the trophy for the first time.
Niyonkuru also finished as the top scorer in the Chinese Women’s Super League that ended over a week ago.
Ugandan International defender Aisha Nantongo also features for Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue WFC.
Niyonkuru who joined the Chinese side from Masar FC from Egypt also finished top scorer in the League this season. She played 21 matches and scored 10 goals.
Her club ended the season with 34 points, finishing 7th out of 12 teams.

Luvanga helps AlNassr win Saudi Women’s Premier Challenge Cup
Tanzanian International Clara Cleitus Luvanga scored one of the goals to help AlNassr Ladies emerge Champions of the Saudi Women’s Premier Challenge Cup (Winter Edition).
AlNassr Ladies defeated Al Hilal 2-0 in the final played at the Inaya Medical Collegue Stadium on Saturday in Riyadh.
Luvanga netted the first goal after 28 minutes, and Ruth Monique Kipoyi added the second after 35 minutes.
“I am happy that I have scored one of the goals in the final and we shall continue to work hard even in the League,” said Luvanga.
Last season the Tanzanian International also helped her team win the Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League and emerged top scorer.

Tanzania exit FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025
Tanzania suffered a 9-0 defeat to Japan at the ongoing FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup on Saturday in Philippines.
The second defeat in their last Group C match saw Tanzania exit the world event.
Japan, the reigning Asian Champions proved a class apart for the Tanzanian team in a match played at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Ryo Egawa and Yuka Iwazaki netted a brace each, while Naomi Matsumoto, Mizuki Nakamura, Kaho Ito, Kyoka Takahashi, and Anna Amishiro also had their names on the score sheet.
Tanzania kick started their campaign with a 10-0 defeat against Portugal, but recovered to stop New Zealand 4-2 in the second match.
Portugal and Japan have already qualified for the quarter finals to join the likes of Colombia, Argentina and Spain among others.
The FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 is the inaugural edition of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup featuring 16 teams.

Tanzania defeats New Zealand in FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025
The Tanzania team has collected their first win at the ongoing FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 in Philippines.
After losing the opening match to Portugal, Tanzania defeated New Zealand 4-2 in a Group C match played at the PhilSports Arena on Wednesday.
The first half ended 1-1 after Mary Siyame scored for Tanzania, while Hannah Kraakman also netted for New Zealand.
After recess Siyame added two more goals, while Winifrida Mathias also had her name on the score sheet for Tanzania. Jess Verdan scored New Zealand’s second goal.
While Portugal who defeated Japan 3-1 are top of the group with 6 points and are already through to the knock out stage, Tanzania will have to win their last match against Japan on November 29th to qualify.
Africa’s second team at the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Morocco also recovered from their 6-0 defeat to Argentina in the opening Group A match, to defeat hosts Philippines 3-2.
The FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 is the inaugural edition of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup, an international Futsal competition organized by FIFA for women’s futsal national teams across the world.
Sixteen teams are taking part in the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup running from November 21 to December 7.
