Makamba based Aigle Noir CS win Primus Burundi Premier League title
Aigle Noir Club Sportif are champions of the 2025/2026 Primus Burundi Premier League.
The Makamba based team was crowned last Saturday after their last match that saw them defeat Garage Express FC 1-0.
After 30 matches played Aigle Noir CS finished with 71 points, while Musongati FC came second with 59 points, Flambeau du Centre finished in third place with 56 points.
Aigle Noir CS player Abdi Ineza finished as top scorer with 16 goals.
The three relegated teams include; BG Green Farmers FC, Garage Express FC and Burundi Sport Dynamik.
Aigle Noir CS who are also in the final of the Burundi Cup will now represent Burundi in the 2026/2027 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.

Flambeau du Centre FC wins Burundi President’s Cup
Flambeau du Centre FC are the winners of the Burundi President’s Cup 2025.
Faustin Likua Kitoko netted the lone goal to ensure Flambeau du Centre stopped Musongati 1-0 in the final played at the Ingoma Stadium in Gitega on Saturday.
The President of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye and several diginatories graced the final which attracted a capacity crowd at the Stadium.
After a goalless first half that had several missed chances, it was Likau who capitalized on a well taken free kick and made no mistake finding the next after 77 minutes.
Musongati FC who finished second in the Primus Burundi Premier League tried to push forward and find goals, but Flambeau du Centre stood strong and tight.
It was all celebrations after the final whistle as Flambeau du Centre also booked a place to represent Burundi in the 2024/2025 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
The President of Burundi Ndayishimiye who supports the competition later awarded medals, dummy cheques and the trophy during the colourful Awards ceremony.
