Young Africans SC to defend Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar
The 2022 Mapinduzi Cup is slated to take place January 2-13 in Zanzibar.
Tanzania Premier League side, Young Africans SC, have confirmed that they will take part in the tournament to defend their title.
The Mapinduzi Cup organized by the government of Zanzibar and the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) is a played to commemorate Zanzibar’s Revolution day which is marked annually on January 12th.
Imane Os Duwe, Chairman of the Mapinduzi Cup Organising Committee confirmed to Cecafaonline that the tournament will attract ten teams.
Besides the four teams from the Tanzania Premier League that will take part like; Young Africans, Simba SC, Azam FC and Namungo FC, the teams from Zanizibar entered for the competition are KMKM SC, Taifa Ya Jangombe FC, Mlandege FC, Meli 4 FC, Selem View FC and Yosso Boys FC.
