Fresh from retaining the Tanzania Premier League title, Young Africans SC will be all out to try and get a good result away to Marumo Gallants FC in the return leg of the 2022/2023 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup semi final on Wednesday.

The return leg will take place at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in South Africa. Coach Nasreddine Nabi’s Young Africa’s SC team carry a 2-0 advantage and can afford any kind of draw to re-write history to qualify for the final.

But Nabi has made it clear that although they won the first leg last week in Dar es Salaam, the battle is not yet over. “We have put the 2-0 win in Tanzania behind us. We start tomorrow’s game at 0-0 and of course, it’s another 90 minutes to fight for. We are ready for the game and will play infront of any crowd. We have enough experience players within the squad,” added Nabi.

While Stephanie Aziz Ki who netted one of the goals in the first leg win is part of the squad, Bernard Morrison who netted the second goal did not travel to South Africa.

Fiston Mayele who has already netted five goals for Young Africans SC will be another players to watch as he goes all out to prove that he is a top striker who can score vital goals away from home.

Marumo Gallants FC who are struggling in the South Africa Premier League placed second last from the bottom in 15th place will hope that their leading marksman Ranga Piniel Chivaviro can also find his scoring form.

The winer between Marumo Gallants FC and Young Africans over two legs will face the winner between USM Alger (Algeria) and Asec Mimosas (Cote d’Ivoire) in the final.
