Sudan to host CECAFA Extra Ordinary Assembly
The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) will hold an Extra Ordinary General Assembly on November 10th, 2022 in Khartoum, Sudan.
Auka Gecheo, the CECAFA Executive Director says they decided to have the Assembly on the sidelines of the U-20 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers for the CECAFA Zone.
The Assembly which will be chaired by the CECAFA President, Wallace Karia will take place at the Omdurman Hall in Ewa Hotel.
Gecheo says matters to be handled include; receiving the report on the regional activities to date, receive CECAFA financial reports for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and also to consider changes to the statutes of CECAFA.
Kenya who are still suspended by FIFA will miss the Assembly. The other CECAFA members expected to attend the Assembly include; Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Zanzibar.
