SUDAN PREMIER LEAGUE: Al Khartoum take early lead
Al Khartoum FC have taken an early lead in the 2020/2021 Sudan Premier League after winning all their two games.
On Friday Al Khartoum humbled Tuli FC 3-1 to move to six points from the two games played. Al Ahli Shandi are second on the log with six points after two straight wins as well.
Defending champions Al Merreikh are third on the log with four points after they stopped Hay al-Arab 3-0 in a game played on December 31st at the Al Hilal Stadium.
Al Merreikh drew goalless against El Hilal Kadugli in their opening match and managed to get back to winning ways.
The Sudan Premier League defending champions will now shift their attention to the Total CAF Champions League where they face Nigeria’s Enyimba in the return leg on January 6th in Aba. Al Merreikh have the advantage having won the first leg 3-0 in Khartoum.
Al Hilal who are sixth on the Sudan Premier League table are also still in contention in the Total CAf Champions League. They picked a 1-0 win away to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko and face-off in the return leg in Khartoum on January 6th.
