The head coach of South Sudan Simon James Yor has warned the Kenyan team that they will not have it easy when the two teams clash today in the CECAFA U-23 Challenge Cup.

Kenya’s Emerging Stars lead Pool C after their 3-0 comfortable win against Djibouti on Sunday.

But Yor believes that his players have prepare well and are ready to take on the Kenyan team. “We were lucky to see how they played against Djibouti and we know what to do. The opening match is very important for us and the players know what they must do,” added Yor.

But Kenya’s head coach Stanley Khayo Okumbi told Cecafaonline.com that they will face South Sudan with a lot of caution. “We do not underrate any team and will take the game very seriously because another win means we are through to the semi finals,” added Okumbi.

The Kenyan team will hope that their two goal hero against Djibouti Paul Reagan Otieno can find his scoring touch again in their second game.

Before South Sudan and Kenya take to the field, the match between Burundi and Eritrea which was abandoned yesterday after heavy rain interrupted will be continued from the 47th minute. Burundi lead the match 1-0.

The third match will see Tanzania face guest side DR Congo in a Pool A match. The DR Congo team settled for a goalless draw in their opening match against Uganda.
