Young Africans SC stop Africain, qualify for group stage

_{Tanzania’s Young Africans SC have qualified for the group stage of the 2022/2023 Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup.}

_{After a goalless draw in the first leg of the additional second preliminary round, Young Africans SC defeated Club Africain SC in Tunisia 1-0 last night to book a place in the group stage.}

_{It was Stephane Aziz Ki’s 79th minute goal that made the difference. The Tanzania Premier League reigning champions played a highly balanced game with good team work and defending. Young Africans SC qualified on a 1-0 goal aggregate.}

_{Young Africans’ players and officials left the Hammedi Agrebi Olympic-Radès dancing all the way, as the local fans were in tears. “ I thank my players for the work well done,” said a happy Young Africans coach Nasreddine Nabi.}

_{Burundi’s Flambeau du Centre lost 2-1 away to Motema Pembe of DR Congo and lost out 4-1 on aggregate.}
