The win sends Young Africans top of the group and straight into the quarter final stage before they travel to face TP Mazembe in the last group match.

“I am happy that the players have worked hard to defeat a strong team like Monastir. Qualifying for the quarter final stage is good, but we need to keep working hard,” added Young Africans SC coach Nabi.

The Tunisian team US Monastir together with Marumo Gallants, ASEC and Nigeria’s Rivers United FC are the other teams that have already booked places in the quarter final stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
