Tanzania ready for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

_{Tanzania’s Serengeti Girls have concluded their camp in Southampton in England ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022.}

_{The team under the watchful eyes of coach Bakari Shime to leave England today and travel to India.}

_{The Tanzanian team will be part of the 16 teams that will battle in the  FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup slated for October 11-30th, 2022 in India. Morocco and Nigeria are the other two African teams that will feature in the world event.}

_{Shime told Cecafaonline that the camp in England has been very beneficial to the team. “ From a technical perspective the camp in England has benefited us a lot because we also managed to have some friendly matches that helped is fine tune several aspects,” added the coach.}

_{The head coach made it clear that although they are going to face very experienced teams, his players are well prepared to prove a point at the competition. “We have all qualified for the World Cup and no team must be taken for granted,” added Shime.}

_{Serengeti Girls will open their campaign with a match against Japan on October 12th. The Tanzanian team will face France in the second match on October 15th and after battle Canada after three days in the last Group D match.}

_{Spain are the defending champions, while North Korea are the most successful team in the competition having won the title twice.}
