Sudan to host Zambia in friendly match
The national team of Sudan will host Zambia’s Chipolopolo in an international friendly match on June 11th in Khartoum.
Sudan’s technical bench led by head coach Hubert Velud will use the match to prepare the team ahead of a preliminary match of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup against Libya next month.
Zambia’s head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic told Cecafaonline.com that there is a possibility of the teams playing two matches with one on the official FIFA window for matches and another on a different date.
Sudan’s coach Velud will also have the chance to test several players as he prepares his team for several other competitions including the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar qualifiers and the 2021 Total Afrca Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Besides Sudan, two other teams from the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) zone Amavubi of Rwanda and Uganda Cranes will also be engaged in friendly matches during the FIFA window for international ties next month.
Rwanda will host the Central African Republic in two matches to be played on June 4th and 7th, while Uganda Cranes will play away to South Africa on June 10th.
