CHAN 2020: Rwanda’s Amavubi face tough Morocco hurdle

The Amavubi of Rwanda will face a tough test when they battle Morocco in their second Group C match at the on-going Total Africa Nations Championship 2020 at the Reunification Stadium in Doula, Cameroon on Friday night.

Rwanda’s head coach Vincent Mashami made it clear on Thursday that after drawing with Uganda in their opening match, they have no option but to go all out and try to get a win.

“We have no option but to go and fight till the last whistle. We are facing a strong side, but we are well prepared and motivated to take them on,” said Mashami.
While Rwanda drew 0-0 with Uganda Cranes in the opening match, Morocco struggled to beat Togo 1-0 in their opening match.

Rwanda will hope that their skipper Jaques Tuyisenge, Ernest Sugira and Justin Mico are in good form to get the goals that can improve their chances of staying in the tournament.

Uganda Cranes, another representative from the Council of East and Central African Football Association (Cecafa) region will be up against Togo, while Tanzania battle Namibia in a Group D match on Saturday.
The sixth edition of the CHAN tournament kicked off on January 16th with the hosts Cameroon defeating Zimbabwe 1-0.
