Rwanda coach Mashami happy with draw against Cameroon

Head coach of Rwanda’s national team, Vincent Mashami has praised his players for the good display against Cameroon in an international friendly played on Monday in Yaoundé.

The match played at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo was staged as part of preparations ahead of the 2020 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN).

“I am happy that my boys reacted well against the home team. But we need to work on the scoring department too because we need goals,” added Mashami.

The coach said he is expecting a much better show from his team against Congo Brazzaville in another friendly match to be played on Friday in Kigali.

Rwanda, together with Uganda and Tanzania qualified to represent the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) region at the CHAN tournament slated for April 4-25th in Cameroon.

The Amavubi of Rwanda are drawn alongside Uganda, Morocco and Togo in Group C of the upcoming CHAN 2020 tournament.
