CECAFA KAGAME CUP 2019: KCCA FC stop defending champions Azam FC

Youngster Sadat Anaku netted the lone goal as Uganda’s KCCA FC defeated defending champions Azam FC in a CECAFA Kagame Club Championship Group B match played at the Huye Stadium on Tuesday.

The Tanzanian Premier League side started the game on a high tempo, but the KCCA FC team managed the pressure well. Anaku scored in the 46th minute to make sure his team go top in the group.

“I am happy that we have managed to bag three important points ahead of our last Group game,” said KCCA FC coach Mike Hillary Mutebi after the game.

In the other Group B match Kenya’s Bandari FC and Mukura FC (Rwanda) settled for a 2-2 draw. Saleh Nyirikindi and Evode Ntwali scored for Mukura FC, while Sheban Kenga and Yema Muama where on the score sheet for Bandari FC.
