Cecafa teams to engage in International friendly matches

Five teams from the Council of East and central African Football Associations (Cecafa) region have line-up International friendly games in the month of October. Kenya’s Harambee Stars under newly appointed coach Francis Kimanzi will start with an away game against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in Marrakech, Morocco on October 11th.

The Harambee Stars who are preparing ahead of the 2021 Total Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers will then host Mozambique on October 15th at the Kasarani Stadium.

On October 13th Uganda’s newly appointed coach Johnathan McKinstry will lead his team away to Ethiopia as he hopes to assess his foreign players.

McKinstry has summoned a team of only foreign based players as he hopes to assess the players ahead of the 2021 Afcon qualifiers where they will start away to Burkina Faso in November.

Rwanda’s Amavubi will also play host to Tanzania in a build-up game on October 14th at the Stade de Kigali in Kigali.

The Amavubi will also use the match The game will be staged as part of the FIFA window of international friendlies and will be pivotal for both sides as they prepare for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers due next month.
