The Secretary General of CECAFA Nicholas Musonye has confirmed the dates for the regional tournament will kick off as on 3rd December in Kenya. The final will be played on 17th December, 2017.
Ten countries will take part in the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup. These are; Hosts Kenya, Holders Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Burundi, South Sudan, Zanzibar plus guest teams Libya and Zimbabwe.
