CECAFA Extra ordinary Assembly set for Arusha
The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) will hold an extra ordinary Assembly in Arusha, Tanzania on August 8th, 2022.
Auka Gecheo, the CECAFA Executive Director says the Assembly will be held at the Gran Melia Hotel. The Assembly will be held on the sidelines of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) slated for August 10th.
He made it clear that the Assembly will receive the CECAFA financial reports for 2019, 2022 and 2021 and also receive a proposal on the amendments of the CECAFA statutes.
Kenya who are still serving a FIFA suspension will not attend the Assembly. The 11 other members will be represented by the President of the Member Association and the Secretary General.
The CECAFA members include; Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, South Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi and Zanzibar.
