The Board of the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) will meet today at Hill View Hotel in Rubavu District, Rwanda.

“We are meeting on Sunday to plan for the 2021 season among other things,” says the Cecafa Executive Director, Auka Gecheo.

He made it clear that the meeting will review the recent Zonal Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) U-20 that took place in Tanzania, fix a date for the Cecafa General Assembly, discuss the Cecafa budget and also plan tournaments for the 2021 season.

Cecafa’s 2020 schedule of tournaments was affected due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Tanzania’s Football Federation (TFF) President Wallace Karia was last year elected President of Cecafa during the Assembly held in Kampala, Uganda. The other members on Cecafa’s Board include South Sudan’s Francis Micheal Amin (1st Vice President) and Ethiopia’s Esayas Jirra as second Vice President. The Board members are Rwanda’s Jean Sekamana and Eritrean Abraham Esayas.
