Cecafa 2015 Kagame Cup draws Released

The Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) launched the 2015 CECAFA-Kagame Club Cup tournament in Dar, Tanzania, Wednesday 1.7.2014. The tournament starts July 18 to August 2.
At the launch ceremony attended by CECAFA Chairman, Leodegar Tenga , Secretary General Nicholas Musonye and TFF chairman Jamal Malinzi and Secretary Geberal Selestine Mwasigwa.Others who attended included representatives of Supersport .
A total of 13 clubs will take part in the two week championship which will be aired Live by Supersport – the official Broadcast sponsors of CECAFA for the next four years.
All games will be live on Supersport channel 219.

Musonye announced that the teams will be divided into three pools. Group A will be composed of five teams, group B and C four teams each.
The organisers haved requested all the FA’s to honour their obligation by providing air tickets for their teams as they resolved during CECAFA Assembly in Cairo early this year. The teams are expected in Dar not later than July 16th. CECAFA and TFF will take care of all other expenses related to the event including full board accommodation, local transport, prize money etc.
President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, the CECAFA Patron since 2002 has already committed prize of USD 60,000 for be shared as follows:- Winners USD 30,000, Second USD 20,000 and third USD 10,000.
The Groups are:- A- Yanga (Tanzania), Gor Mahia (Ken), Kmkm (Zan), Telecom (Dji), Khartoum- N (Sud). Group B – APR (Rwa), Al Shandy (Sud), LLB FC (Bur), Heegan (Som). Group C – Azam (Tan), Malakia (Sou Sudan), Adama (Ethio) and KCCA (Uga).
