_{The Burundi Premier League champions suffered a 5-1 defeat to Zamalek SC (Egypt) in the second leg of the second preliminary round on Friday at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Cairo. The Egyptian giants qualified for the group stage on a 6-1 goal aggregate.}

_{Ahmed Sayed Zizo gave Zamalek the lead after only 3 minutes, but Leonard Gakwaya gave the Burundi side some hope with an equalizer after 25 minutes.}
