Al Merreikh, Al Hilal to find out group opponents December 28th

CECAFA representatives Al Merreikh and Al Hilal will know their 2021/2022 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League group opponents on December 28th.

CAF announced that the draw for the group stage will take place on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt.

The two Sudan Premier League teams are the only sides to make it for the lucrative group stage of the competition from the CECAFA zone.

Tanzania’s Simba SC who reached the quarter final stage last season will this time play in the group stage of the TotalEnergies Confederation Cup.

The draw will divide the 16 teams that reached the group stage into four groups of four teams each. The mini-league stage will start in February 2022.
