Young Africans, Flambeau du Centre know opponents

Two teams from the CECAFA  region Young Africans SC and Flambeau du Centre have today known their opponents for the additional second preliminary round of the 2022/2023 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

In the draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt today the reigning Tanzania Premier League champions Young Africans have been pitted against Tunisia’s Club Africain.

Young Africans who bowed out of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League falling to Al Hilal 2-1 on goal aggregate will host the first leg on November 2nd, and the return leg will be slated for November 9th.

Burundi’s Flambeau du Centre who were ejected by Zamalek (Egypt) in the TtalEnergies CAF Champions League will face DR Congo’s DC Motema Pembe.

In the other match-ups TP Mazembe who were ejected by Uganda’s Vipers SC and were relegated to the Confederation Cup will face Royal AM FC of South Africa, while defending champions RS Berkane of Morocco take on and US Monastir (Tunisia).

Sixteen teams will qualify for the group stage.
