The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe has once again said that football affairs should be run with a lot of dignity.

Speaking to the CECAFA Extra Ordinary assembly at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Friday, Dr. Motsepe made it clear that for football to get a lot of support, the leaders should show levels of high dignity.

Since his election as CAF President during the General Assembly in Morocco, Dr. Motsepe has continuously stressed about the aspect of good governance and running football with dignity.

He told the members at the Assembly that although many of the Member Associations do not have the financial muscles, they should get into meaningful partnerships, build capacity and also create compelling brands to attract partners.

At the Assembly chaired by the CECAFA and Tanzania Football Association (TFF) President, Wallace Karia, the CAF President asked for cooperation amongst all Member Associations. “Having strong Member Associations will create a strong CAF,” he added.

The CAF President who was also accompanied by the Secretary General, Véron Mosengo-Omba asked CECAFA to bring forth the key issues they want CAF to address.

Dr. Motsepe had earlier in the day met the Tanzania Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa in Dodoma.
