We have a lot to show in AFCON – Sudan Coach Burhan Tia

The head coach of Sudan’s national team Burhan Tia has made it clear that they have a lot to show in this TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021.

Sudan played to a goalless draw against Guinea Bissau in the opening Group D match on Tuesday at the Roumde Adjia Stadium in Garoua.

Tia said on Wednesday that although they face a tough task against Nigeria in their next match on Saturday, his young team is preparing well and know how they will approach the match.

“It will not be easy, as well as facing Egypt, but these are matches that we have put in our minds and our program before the tournament,” added the coach.

The Falcons of Jediane are currently joint placed third in Group D. Nigeria top the group after their 1-0 win against Egypt, while Guinea Bissau are second.

Today CECAFA’s second representatives in the AFCON 2021 Ethiopia will be in action against hosts Cameroon in a Group A match. Ethiopia lost the opening match 1-0 to Cape Verde, while Cameroon stopped Burkina Faso 2-1.
