Uganda, Tanzania to play friendly ties in Libya
The national teams of Uganda and Tanzania will play two international friendly matches each in Benghazi, Libya between September 21-27th.
The Libya Football Federation has organized the three matches during the FIFA International window that will take place at the Benina Martyrs International Stadium.
The hosts will face Uganda on September 21st in the opening match. Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s team will return for a match against Taifa Stars of Tanzania on September 24th. The final match will see Libya battle Tanzania on September 27th.
It will also be the third time Uganda and Tanzania are facing off this year after the two sides battled in the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) that the Cranes won 4-0 on aggregate.
“These two matches will help our players to get good match time in their legs and also to pick the right chemistry,” said Uganda’s coach Sredojevic.
