Uganda prepare to host Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) will host the regional Cecafa U-20 Challenge Cup September 13-28th. Justus Mugisha, the 1st Vice President of the Federation confirmed on Wednesday that Uganda will host the tournament.

“We have the technical people going to two towns in Gulu and Jinja to confirm on the venues,” added Mugisha.

Last week the Secretary general of the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) confirmed that all the 12 members have confirmed participation.

The regional body has this year held the Cecafa Kagame Cup in Rwanda and the recent inaugural Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup in Eritrea.

The other tournaments planned for 2019 include the Cecafa Women’s Championship, the Cecafa U-17 Women’s Championship and the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.
