Uganda, Ethiopia battle in Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup

Uganda’s coach Jackson Magera Kaddu has said it his boys will be hungry to go all out and win against Ethiopia as the 2019 Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup enters Day 2 today in Asmara, Eritrea.

Kaddu told Cecafafootball.com at the Savannah Hotel in Asmara on Friday night that the boys are rearing to go.

“I have told the players that they need to take their chances and win the game comfortably. It is always important to start well in such tournaments,” added Kaddu.

The coach however made it clear that they will not underrate the Ethiopian team because they are known for playing a god passing game.

Uganda’s U-15 team will look to the likes of Samuel Mutebi, Peter Gava Vincent Mulema and Najib Kigozi among others.

Rwanda’s Junior Wasps will face South Sudan in the second Group B game at the Asmara National Stadium. Yves Rwasamanzi, the Rwanda coach has called on his players to take caution in every game they play. “Our first target is to make it through the group and qualify for the semi finals,” said Rwasamanzi.

The Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup, the first of it’s kind in Africa is supported by FIFA.
