Two CECAFA officials in delegation for inaugural Women’s Champions League

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named two officials from the CECAFA region as part of the delegation for inaugural TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Egypt will host the Championship that will take place November 5-19th in Cairo, Egypt.

Aisha Nalule, the Competitions Director of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has been designated as a match Commissioner, while Kelly Anastasie Mukandanga (Rwanda) will be a General Coordinator.

Four other referees and assistant referees from the CECAFA region Salima Mukansanya (Rwanda), Lidya Tafesse Abebe (Ethiopia), Suavis Iratunga (Burundi) and Mary Njoroge (Kenya) will also officiate at the Chjampionship to feature eight teams.

Kenya’s Vihiga Queens FC who lifted the CECAFA Women’s Champions League title will feature in the competition.

The competition will open with Wadi Degla (Egypt) facing AS Mande (Mali) and Malabo Kings (Equatorial Guinea) battling Hassaacas Ladies FC (Ghana) all on November 5th.

Group A: Wadi Degla (Egypt), AS Mande (Mali), Malabo Kings FC (Equatorial Guinea), Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana)

Group B: Vihiga Queens FC (Kenya), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Asfar Club (Morocco), Rivers United (Nigeria)
