Tanzania to face Burundi in Beach Soccer AFCON qualifier

The two games between Tanzania and Burundi in the qualifier for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will all be played in Tanzania.

Burundi Football Federation (BFF) opted to have all the two games played in Tanzania because of the strict COVID-19 protocols back in Burundi. The first leg will be played March 26-27, while the second leg is slated for April 9-10th.

Senegal will host the 4th Edition of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

Uganda Sands who were meant to face Ghana in the qualifier earned a walkover and automatic qualification for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

Edgar Watson, the CEO of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) confirmed that CAF communicated that Uganda have qualified after Ghana pulled out.

The other teams that will battle in the qualifiers include; Libya, Morocco, Seychelles, Madagascar, Comoros, Mozambique, Burundi, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ivory Coast.
