Sudan suffers two defeats in Arab Women’s Cup 2021
Sudan has their first competitive appearance in Women’s competitions at the on-going Arab Women’s Cup 2021 in Cairo, Egypt.
In their opening match played at the Police Academy Stadium on August 24th, the Sudan team suffered a 10-0 defeat to hosts Egypt in a Group A match.
The young Sudan team lost their second game yesterday 12-1 to Tunisia. The team from the CECAFA region will next face third placed Lebanon in the last group game on August 30th.
Seven teams are taking part in the Arab Women’s Cup organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA). The teams taking part in the tournament that started on August 24th and ends on September 6th include; Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Lebanon, Algeria, Palestine and Jordan
