Simba’s Sakho dedicates CAF Award to fans

Simba’s Pape Ousmane Sakho has dedicated his CAF Goal of the Year  Award to the club fans.

Sakho won the Award during the CAF Awards 2022 which took place in Tabat, Morocco on Thursday.

“I am so grateful to everyone who has made this possible. But most of all I thank the management of Simba and I dedicate the Award to the fans who keep supporting to motivate us,” Sakho told Cecafaonline in Rabat.

Sakho who netted the wonderful goal for Simba during a 2021/2022 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup tie against ASEC Mimosa said that the Award is a big motivator for him to keep working hard to be able to achieve a lot more for him and his Club Simba SC.

Former Nigerian International Jay-jay Okocha handed over the Award to Sakho during the colourful function attended also graced by the CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and other dignitaries.

At the Awards Senegal’s Sadio Manage and Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala were crowned Winners of the CAF Player of the Year Men’s and Women’s  categories respectively.
