Rwanda to host CAF Executive Meeting

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee will meet in Kigali, Rwanda on May 15th.

Dr. Patrice Mostepe, the CAF President will chair the meeting. The South African businessman was elected 7th CAF President during the CAF General Assembly held at the Sofitel Hotel & Resort in Rabat, Morocco on March 12th, 2021.

Although the agenda of the meeting has not been released, CAF has confirmed that several issues will be discussed. The last CAF executive meeting was held on March 30th by video conference.

On February 19th, 2021 Rwanda again hosted several football leaders including FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the official opening of the FIFA regional development office yesterday in Kigali. Rwanda also hosted the eighth FIFA Council Meeting at Kigali Convention Center in 2018.

The CAF executive members expected to attend the meeting include;

Dr. Patrice Motsepe (President), Augustin Senghor (1st Vice President), Ahmed Yahya (2nd Vice President), Suleiman Hassan Waberi (3rd Vice President), Kanizat Ibrahim (5th Vice President)

Others: Fouzi Lekjaa, Hanny Abo Rida, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, Isha Johansen, Moses Hassim Magogo, Sita Sangare, Mohamed Ally Samir Sobha, Abdulhakim Al Shalmani, Pierre-Alain Mounguengui, Maclean Cortez Letshwithi, Mamoutou Toure, Mathurin De Chacus, Djibrilla Hima Hamidou, Wadie Jary, Mustapha Ishola Raji and Elvis Chetty.
