Rwanda Primus Premier League champions APR targeting double

Fresh from winning the 2022/2023 Primus Premier League title, APR FC will be all out to try and win a double on Saturday.

The army side will face arch-rivals Rayon Sports in the final of the 2023 Peace Cup at the Huye Stadium.

While Rayon Sports ejected Mukura Victory Sport 4-3 on aggregate in the semifinals, APR saw off victory SC Kiyovu 3-2 on aggregate.

Ben Moussa, APR FC’s head coach has made it clear that they are determined to go all out and win the Peace Cup as well.

“We had a great season so far after winning the league title but we still have the fight ahead of us. It was a tough season but it was a wonderful experience for everyone,” added Moussa.

He made it clear that facing Rayon Sports will not be easy because they are a toughs side. Rayon Sports are one of the best teams we have in the Rwandan league,” he added.

While APR Fc will represent Rwanda in the 2023/2-24 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, Rayon Sports has already secured a place to play in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
