Rwanda appoint new head coach Carlos Alós Ferrer

Rwanda has appointed Carlos Alós Ferrer as the new head coach of the national team, Amavubi.

The 47-year old Spanish professional coach was unveiled during a ceremony at the headquarters of the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) in Kigali today.

FERWAFA Secretary General, Muhire Henry Brulart unveiled the new coach to the media.

“FERWAFA is delighted to announce that Carlos Alós Ferrer has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the men’s Rwanda National Football Team for one year,” said FERWAFA.

The former coach of the Kazakhstan national team and also AS FAR Rabat in Botola Pro League in Morocco takes over Vincent Mashami whose contract was not renewed when it expired on March 2, 2022.

The new coach is expected to prepare the Rwanda national team for the qualifiers of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 and TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2023.
