Rayon Sports FC maintain lead in 2024/2025 Rwanda Premier League
Rayon Sports have maintained their lead in the 2024/2025 Rwanda Premier League after they picked a goalless draw against arch-rivals APR FC.
The much anticipated derby between the two giants lived to expectation as fans were kept on their toes at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Sunday.
The two teams failed to take their chances in-front of goal with APR FC’s recent Ugandan signing Denis Omedi coming closest early in the first half.
Roberto Oliveira Gonçalves do Carmo’s team remained top of the 16-team log with 43 points from 20 matches, while the reigning champions APR FC are two points less with a similar number of matches played.
In the other matches played on Sunday Mukura Victory Sports stopped Gorilla FC 1-0 to move to fifth place, while third placed AS Kigali suffered a 2-1 defeat to Rutsiro.
