All eyes will be on Harambee Stars captain Micheal Olunga when he leads the Kenyan national team in a FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifier Group E match away to Mali on October 7th.

The Kenyan team traveled last night to Morocco where the match will be played at the Grande Stade d’Agadir. Harambee Stars are second in Group E with two points behind the table leaders Mali who have collected 4 points.

Fresh from scoring five goals for his Al Duhail SC team in the 5-0 win over Al Sailiya in the Qatar Stars League on September 26th, Olunga is expected to be hungry to prove yet another point as they try to get maximum points against Mali.

Olunga scored in the 1-1 away draw to Rwanda last month, while he fired blanks in the goalless draw against Uganda Cranes in the opening group match played at the Nyayo Stadium.

It will also be the first assignment for new coach Engin Firat who took over two weeks ago when Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee stepped down.

On Thursday Rwanda will also host Uganda Cranes in another Group E match, while Group J table leaders hosts Benin at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Sudan who have lost two games in Group I will return to action on Wednesday with a game against Guinea. The match will be played at the Grande State Marrakech in Morocco.
