Kenya line-up International friendly match against Russia
The Harambee Stars will face Russia in an international friendly match on October 16th at the Titanic Mardan Stadium in Antalya, Turkey.
Football Kenya Federation confirmed that the friendly will help the national team to prepare and continue with preparations ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers. in
But before the Russian team faces Kenya, they will take on Cameroon on October 12 in Moscow.
Although FIFA announced a ban on Russia since February 28, 2022 because of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, their national team has continued to play a host of friendly matches. Last month Kenya also stopped Qatar 2-1 in an international friendly, and lost 1-0 to South Sudan in Nairobi.
Meanwhile Uganda Cranes will also have two friendly matches against two teams that qualified for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 Mali and Zambia.
After parting ways with coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, the Uganda FA has announced former international Morley Byekwaso Ochama who will be in-charge of the Cranes will face Mali in Bamako on October 13th and Zambia in Dubai on October 17th.
