KCCA FC to test Kenya’s Kakamega Homeboyz FC

Uganda Premier League side, KCCA FC will teat Kakemega HomeBoyz FC (Kenya) in an international friendly match on August 4th at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Kampala.

The two teams will use the match to prepare head of the 2023/2024 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

” This will be a very good friendly match for our teams as we prepare for the new season. And playing against Football Kenya Federation Cup winners will be good test for us, ” said KCCA FC’s new coach Sergio Traguil.

Whil KCCA FC was handed a bye to the second round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup during the draw last week, Kakamega HomBoyz FC will battle Libya’s Al Hilal Benghazi in the first round between August 20-27, 2023.

The other teams in the CECAFA Zone that will battle in the first round include Arta Solar FC from Djibouti who will face Horseed FC (Somalia), Singida United FC (Tanzania) will face JKU SC (Zanzibar), while Bahir Dra Kanema (Ethiopia) takes on Tanzania’s Azam FC.

The two teams from Sudan Hay Al Arab and Haidoub will also line-up against Aigie Noir (Burundi) and South Sudan’s Al Merreikh Juba respectively.

In the 2022/2-23 season Tanzania’s Young Africans Sc recahed the final of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup losing to USM Alger (Algeria).
