Karia re-elected Tanzania Football Federation President for another 4-years

Members of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Elective General Assembly on August 7th re-elected Wallace Karia as the President of another term.

Karia was re-elected unopposed to serve another four years during the Assembly that took place in the Tanga region.
“I want to thank the Assembly for entrusting me with another term. Let us work together to develop football in Tanzania,” said Karia.

All 81 members of the Assembly voted for Karia to remain at the helm for the next four years. Athumani Nyamlani was also unopposed and returned as the first Vice President of TFF.

The elections were also witnessed by FIFA officials and CAF Executive member and President of the Somali Football Federation (SFF) Abdiqani Said Arab. Justus Mugisha, Vice President of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) also attended the Assembly.

Karia succeeded Jamal Malinzi in August, 2017 and since then he together with his team have brought about several football development projects in Tanzania.

Under his leadership Tanzania also qualified for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2021 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) and 2021 Africa U-20 Nations Championship among others.

Karia is also the current President of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA).
