Kapaito crowned 2020/2021 Football Kenya Federation Premier League MVP

Striker Erick Kapaito has been voted the 2020/2021 Football  Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League Most Valuable Player.

The Kariobangi Sharks striker received the Award on Tuesday night during the Awards ceremony held at the Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi.

Kapaito who netted 24 goals to win the Golden Boot beat Sofapaka midfielder Lawrence Juma and AFC Leopards striker Elvis Rupia to the MVP Award. He received trophies and cash prizes for the different categories.

“I want to dedicate the award to my teammates, without them, I could not have achieved it, it is a great honour to take it home, and will strive to do even better next season,” said Kapaito.

Coach Robert Matano who guided Tusker FC to win the League title was voted coach of the year, while James Saruni, the Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper scooped the Golden Glove Award after managing 12 clean sheets.

Coach of the year – Robert Matano (Tusker)

Best Assistant Referee – Mary Njoroge

Referee of the year – Peter Waweru Kamaku
