Striker Patrick Kaddu netted a brace to help Uganda Cranes defeat Moldova 3-2 in an international friendly match played yesterday in Turkey.

Dmitri Mandriceno and Mihail Platica netted for Moldova inside the first 13 minutes at the Deluxe Belek Football Centre, Antalya.

After 34 minutes Uganda Cranes pulled a goal back through a penalty. Patrick Kaddu made no mistake from the spot after Yunus Ssentamu had been brought down in the box.

In the second half Uganda Cranes returned hungry for goals and Milton Karisa made it 2-2 after 64 minutes.

Kaddu netted another penalty after 80 minutes to ensure Uganda Cranes picked a win.

“We are very happy these international matches are helping our young players get a lot of exposure,” said Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.

After facing Iceland (1-1), FC Botosani (2-2), Moldova (3-2), the Uganda Cranes will now travel to face Iraq in Baghdad City on Friday and Bahrain on January 27th.
