FIFA’s Infantino, Motsepe to grace inaugural African Football League tie

It’s just a few hours ahead of the inuagural quarter final match of the African Football League between hosts Simba SC (Tanzania) and Egypt’s Al Ahly at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Friday.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will all grace the inuagural match together with other invited guests.

Wallace Karia, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) and CECAFA President disclosed on Thursday that Infantino and Dr. Motsepe together with other FIFA and CAF guests including  several Member Association Presidents will be in Dar es Salaam to watch the match.

” We are very delighted as Tanzania to be hosting this African Football League and I call upon all Tanzanians to come and watch the matches and also be very nice to all visitors, ”  added Karia.

He also disclosed that the FIFA and CAF Presidents will on Friday travel to Dodoma to meet the President of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

According to the organisers, each of the four quarter finalists will receive US$900,000, while the two semi finalists take US$1.7 million each. The runner-up will walk away with US$2.8 million and the winner US$4 million.
