FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura to visit Uganda
The Secretary General of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), Fatma Samoura will arrive in Uganda on January 27th. Edgar Watson, the Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) disclosed that among other things Samoura will commission FUFA’s new building in Mengo.
Samoura has also been serving as a FIFA General Delegate for Africa since August 1st last year in a bid to improve governance on the continent.
“She will also meet the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga,” added Watson.
In 2018 FUFA procured premises for the extension of its headquarters sitting on 0.15 ha of land adjacent to the current FUFA House in Mengo. The funding of the project of the new FUFA offices is funded by the FIFA Forward Programme (FFP).
