Ethiopia’s skipper Loza Abera in Florida for trials
Ethiopia’s captain of the women’s national football team, Loza Abera Geinore is in the US ahead of trials in Florida.
Abera, who is one of the leading female players in the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) Zone and Africa traveled to USA a few days ago.
She is expected to have trials with of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) teams in Florida. “I am preparing hard and looking forward to the trials in Florida,” said Abera.
The forward who is also captain of the U-20 team was top scorer with Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC at the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal qualifiers held in Kenya in 2021 and 2022 in Tanzania.
Besides Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC, the prolific forward has also played for other women teams in Ethiopia like Hawassa City, Dedebit FC and Adama City.
At a professional level Abera has played for three European Clubs; Antalya Spor (Turkey), Kungsbacka DFF (Sweden) and Malta’s Birkirkara FC.
