The President of the Ethiopia Football Federation (EFF) has said they are ready to host a successful regional tournament next month.

Ethiopia will host the U-23 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup between July 3-18th at the Bahi Dar Stadium.

Isayas Jira Bosho, told Cecafaonline on Wednesday that as a Federation they are putting everything in place to make sure the season opening tournament for CECAFA region in the 2021 season is successful.

“We have already inspected the Stadium, hotels and training facilities. And we also announced members of the Local Organising Committee yesterday,” added Bosho.

Ahead of the CAf General Assembly in Morocco in March, CECAFA members decided that this year’s Senior Challenge Cup is played by the U-23 teams.

Each of the Member Associations expected to send a team for the tournament will have to pay US$20,000 which will help the hosts manage the expenses to organize the regional event.

After the Challenge Cup the zonal CAF Women’s Champions League Club qualifiers will take place in Kenya between July 17th to August 1st.
