Esayas re-elected Ethiopia FA President
The Ethiopia Football Federation (EFF) Assembly has re-elected Jira Esayas to serve as President for another four years.
Esayas collected 94 votes, while his rivals Melaku Fenta and Tokicha Alemayehu had 27 and 17 votes respectively during the elective General Assembly held at the UN- ECA conference center in Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Dr. Dagnachew Nigeru was also elected to serve as vice President of the Federation. “I want to thank the people who have showed trust and elected us. I know we have a lot of work to do in the next four years t improve and develop football in Ethiopia,” said Esayas.
The other nine members elected to the executive committee include; Habiba Siraj, Fiza Reshad, Bizuayehu Jemberu, Murad Abdi, Adisu Kamiso, Sherefa Dilicho, Ujulu Aday, Dagnachew Nigeru and Aser Ibrahim.
Esayas is also the 1st Vice President of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA).
