CECAFA very active, well organized Zone, says Veron Mosengo-Omba

The General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF),  Véron Mosengo-Omba has praised CECAFA for being active and well organized.

Mosengo-Omba said this last Friday during the CECAFA Annual General Assembly held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Arusha, Tanzania.

“I thank the leadership of CECAFA because it is one of the most organized Zones and organize more events compared to other Zones,” said Mosengo-Omba who represented the CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe.

He also made it clear that Dr. Motsepe is determined to strengthen capacity in the Zonal Associations and also support the new Schools Championship.

Tenga also congratulated CAF for successfully organizing the recent TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon. “The well organized and competitive AFCON made me proud of being an African,” added Tenga.

Apart from Kenya, the Assembly was also attended by Presidents and representatives of all other CECAFA members; Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Djibouti, Rwanda, Burundi and Zanzibar.
