Uganda’s coach Jackson Magera has said his team is determined to win the inaugural Cecafa U-15 Challenge Cup trophy. Magera whose team faces Burundi in the semi final stage this afternoon at the Asmara National Stadium in Eritrea told Cecafafootball.com in an interview that his players know the target is only the trophy

“I am happy the players are following the tactical instructions given to them. We came here to win the trophy,” added a confident Magera.

The coach explained that his team showed the seriousness scoring 13 goals in the group stage and conceding none. “We are here for serious business,” added the coach.

Leading goal scorer in the tournament Abasi Kyeyune with six goals is expected to keep the Burundian defenders busy together with Travis Mutyaba who is a good dribbler and dead ball specialist.

But the Burundi coach Gustave Niyonkuru has maintained that although they are aware Uganda is a strong side, but anything can happen in the knock out stage.

“We have watched them play and I will organize my teams according to what I expect. But we need to be very disciplined at the back and also take our chances,” added Niyonkuru.

Florien Interiteka with four goals scored together with Jean Charlemagne Iteriteka and Patrick Nduwimana will be some of Burundi the star players expected to carry the team.
