CECAFA match officials appointed for CAF Women’s Champions League in Cairo

Four match officials from the CECAFA zone have been appointed to officiate at the inaugural TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Championship that will feature eight teams will take place November 5-19th in Cairo, Egypt.

Rwanda’s Salima Mukansanya, Lidya Tafesse Abebe (Ethiopia) and Burundi’s Suavis Iratunga are among the 12 referees appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Kenya’s Mary Njoroge is also among the 13 assistant referees appointed.

Kenya’s Vihiga Queens FC who lifted the CECAFA Women’s Champions League title will feature at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League.

Vihiga Queens who are placed in Group B will open their campaign against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundwons on November 6th at the Military Academy Stadium.
