CAF Executive Committee meeting set for November 25th in Cairo

The CAF Executive Committee meeting will take place in Cairo, Egypt on November 25th.

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the CAF President will chair the meeting which among other things will decide the dates for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022African Qualifiers Play-offs draw.

Three members from the CECAFA Zone who are also part of the CAF Executive Committee include; Souleiman Hassan Waberi (Djibouti/3rd Vice President CAF), Mosses Hassim Magogo (Uganda) and Abdiqani Said (Somalia).

The ten teams from Africa that made it through the group qualifiers will be seeded according to the FIFA Coca Cola ranking. “CAF congratulates all the nations that have reached this stage so far – one step away from booking their ticket to Qatar,” said CAF.

The ten teams that will battle for the five slots for Africa for the FIFA World Cup 2022 include; Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Mali, Egypt, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Executive Committee Meeting will also deliberate issues that will be presented at the Extraordinary CAF General Assembly in Cairo on November 26th.
